PharmAssess was established in 2005 to provide pharmaceutical companies with regular, independent and thorough audits in response to an EU Directive which states that pharmaceutical companies must audit their suppliers to ensure they are producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) to the right specifications under appropriate manufacturing conditions.

PharmAssess's innovative business model means it addresses the needs of both manufacturers and suppliers: it provides manufacturers with a cost-effective solution for meeting regulations; and helps API suppliers by minimising the disruption and costs associated with hosting multiple audits. It is currently concentrating its efforts on suppliers in India.
