The Practice manages surgeries on behalf of General Practitioners (GPs), freeing doctors' time and allowing them to concentrate on practicing medicine. Where appropriate, The Practice will purchase the surgery from retiring GPs. The Practice also provides other primary care services - eg ophthalmology and sexual health - on behalf of Primary Care Trusts (PCTs).
