MMC Ventures was set up by Bruce Macfarlane, Alan Morgan and Allan Cockell in 2000 to invest in early-stage companies.

The three founders of MMC invest personally in every investment and bring the perspective of their careers in investment banking, strategic management consultancy and trading and risk management.

As experienced business angels they perceived that effective angel investing could best be achieved through a high-quality deal flow, rigorous due diligence and active post-investment support.

To that end they recruited a team of investment professionals who act as the engine room of MMC, drawing on the sector expertise and funds of its investor base.

MMC currently has a full-time team of five professionals and has funds under management in addition to its Syndicate of angel investors. Our investment capacity is growing and we underwrite all our deals. We invested £5 million in 2005, £8 million in 2006 and over £17 million in 2007.
