MMC is an active partner to its portfolio companies, helping them make the most of their opportunities. We combine the analytic skills of an institutional investor with the ‘hands-on’ mentoring support that young companies need.

In addition to funding, we are able to offer our portfolio companies operational, financial and strategic advice, as well as high-level introductions to potential partners and customers. Our Syndicate is a valuable resource available to our portfolio companies, offering a wealth of diverse experience and contacts. Dedicated post-investment support is important in helping young companies surmount the challenges that rapid expansion can bring.

MMC backs fast-growing young companies located anywhere in the UK. We look to invest between £500,000 and £5 million in an initial funding round. Although we are a generalist investor, we have a particular interest in healthcare, financial services, technology and business support services. We only invest in businesses we can bring to profitability on our own resources and therefore do not invest in biotech or drug discovery. We have substantial capital available and underwrite every deal we do. Unlike traditional angel networks we do not need to build a book.
