Mentoring and Contacts

MMC is a hands-on investor and we seek to apply our experience and resources to build value in our portfolio companies. We can leverage the contacts of our Syndicate of private investors to open doors for portfolio companies - including making introductions to larger companies - an area which can prove particularly difficult for smaller businesses. We encourage all our companies to conduct annual strategy ‘away days’ in order to identify key objectives and opportunities and measure progress.

Board representation

It is a condition of every investment that MMC appoints a non-executive director to represent us on the Board. This is usually, but not necessarily, a member of the MMC team or one of our investors, who is selected for the added value they can bring to the company.

Follow-on Funding

The depth of capital available to MMC means we can follow our investments through multiple rounds of funding to exit.
